C48 - Tobacco Box

C48 boxes are global standard for packing in Tobacco Industry. Tobacco in various forms like full-leaf, threshed lamina, cut-rag, stems etc gets packed in C48 boxes. The box dimensions are standard across the globe as the complete supply chain and manufacturing process automation is designed based on the dimension of this box. The box dimensions are designed keeping in-view the maximum volume utilisation in 40ft container.

Though the dimensions of C48 box more or less remains same, there are different qualities of the box based on the purpose for which the box is used. It is not a over statement, if we say that "C48 is the strongest box produced globally in such large quantities".

Typically, about 200Kg produce is packed in C48 boxes and are stacked 5 to 6 boxes high. The most common types of C48 boxes are C48 IB, C48 AC ND, C48 BC etc...

C96 - Tobacco Box

C96 boxes are similar to C48 box in construction. The length and width of C48 and C96 box are same, but the height of C96 box is half of C48 Box.

As the height of C96 is half of C48, C96 can accommodate only about 100Kg produce. Due to lesser packed weight, these boxes are used where manual handling of the material is required.

C48 - Cut-Rag Box

C48 Outer/Inner boxes are used to pack 100 to 120 kg of Cut-Rag. Though the dimensions of the box are exactly same as C48 box, due to bulky ness of Cut-Rag, only about 100kg to 120kg fit in the box.

As the packed weight is lesser and the storage stacking pattern is 5 to 6 boxes, the box stacking load required is only half of C48 regular box. Hence, these boxes are designed with little lesser strength to optimise the cost and performance.

Gaylord Bulk Bins

Gaylord Bulk Bins or Jumbo Baskets or Octagonal Bins are the boxes made with 8 corners. These are mostly used to pack large volumes of material powders, granules or some loose material which settles due to vibration during transportation. These are typically made from 7-ply or High Strength 5-ply corrugated boards.

The octagonal shape is chosen for the box instead of rectangular shape because:

(a) The face lengths are lesser in octagonal box and hence has better stiffness against bulging.

(b) As there are 8 columns instead of 4 columns in a typical rectangular box, the octagonal sleeve has higher box compression.

Though the manufacturing process is much complicated compared to a typical rectangular jumbo box manufacturing, these boxes are popular in many applications like:

(1) Pet bottle Pre-forms bulk packing.

(2) Chemical Powder Bulk Packing.

(3) Coffee Powder Bulk Packing.

(4) Bulk Drugs Packing.

(5) Adhesives Bulk Packing.

(6) Fruit Bins for farmer packing of Pumpkin, water-melon, cucumber etc...

(7) Loose packing of auto components and bearings etc...

Our USP is to make Gaylord Boxes in Single Piece (i.e. only one joint).

We also make 1 cubic meter volume Gaylord box including top and bottom flaps together in a single piece. This would eliminate the trouble of maintaining inventory of lids and assembling them at the point of use.

RBD Coil Basket

RBD (Rod Break Down) Coil Basket is an octagonal jumbo basket with all equal sides.

These baskets are used to coil 1.5MT to 2.5MT of small diameter drawn wires. The construction of the box should ensure the sturdiness, eliminate any tangling of the coiled wire during storage and transportation and facilitate smooth unwinding.

We are the approved vendor for supplying these boxes by the machine supplier as wire coiling is a very complicated process and any tangling of the coiled wire would lead to huge material waste and production breakdowns during uncoiling operation.
